When I walked in I was met by the lovely homeopath, who seemed kind, friendly and helpful. The other staff were equally pleasant to the various customers in store. After a brief discussion about the prescribed remedy, I asked the price she said £10. She said it would take a few minutes. After a long wait, she returned to say the price quoted had to include a prescription charge and would be £14 or so. So again I agreed. What was to be a few minutes was actually 1 hour. Its the longest I've waited for a remedy to be dispensed. When I went to pay I was told £18.95. I queried this and the bald short man became very belligerent. The homeopath denied ever saying £10, then went to the back where she began whispering about this. I felt duped by the homeopath. The bald man was huffing and puffing telling me that's the charge. So I said fine I don't want it. So he offered to call the pharmacist, he was so overbearing I assumed he was a manager, so I asked what he does. To which he replied 'I work here'. I explained very nicely that if you are told a price for a product that is the price you pay. You don't get stung at the till with a new price. I even demonstrated to them how the principle works. The pharmacist was pleasant and tried to explain they have a problem with the till system. She agreed I pay the amount I had been told. However, the bald man continued being irate while taking payment. They gave me the impression they intended to over charge. That's why they were vague and took 1 hour so I'd be too tired to notice. Overall the staff were pleasant except the baldy, who was rude, ill educated with a gargantuan chip on his shoulder. I don't believe the mistake was genuine. I'd caution customers about pricing. It remains to be seen how the remedy works I will update in due course. However, based on other reviews, which I sadly saw after my visit, I am not confident. The preparation area certainly doesn't conform to the private, serene space usually given to a homeopathic pharmacy.
