We are woodland trust members so tried this out. There is a bus that gets close. Try the rose hill school or you can walk. You first pass through council forest along the creek. The route needs erosion control. At the end of the lane is the start of the forest. . Ignore google directions. Enter off Coniston Avenue

A circular walk on a good track with lots of birdsong.

Lots of paths throughout and around the woods. Stream also runs through it. Can be muddy in places but adds to the joy.
