such an amazing place - I know i am biased because i live incredibly close, but it is remarkable the space and the little hidden places. I know this inside out and we walk there more or less every day with our little ones. It's phenomenal to think half of the land was gifted - it's an act i don't think i will see in our lifetime.

Maidstones little secret! Go into bearsted from a20, get to the green on your left. Take first turning and follow to the top of windy road and you find the car park. Great for walkers and dog owners, probably 45 minutes all round. Very pleasant, if maintained by friends of the woodland. They do a great job. You will need boots in parts as quite muddy but that as to the experience. Do go, you will love it.

We found this little Gem recently and it's so lovely! Nice little walk and a few things for the kids to spot along the way. Really clean and well kept
