Well maintained and pleasant to stroll around, perfect if you love gardens and pleasant enough if like me you're the reluctant bloke trudging behind. Very hilly so wear good shoes. Mortgage advisor needed for cafe purchases although very good quality. £12 for English breakfast and £6.50 for a bowl of soup.

The most fantastic place. Gorgeous gardens, friendly staff, a brilliant play area and a super cafe. The events that Riverhill put on eg dog shows and Halloween trails are always top notch. You’ve been the most brilliant place to visit (almost weekly!) in these strange times and we will be season ticket holders for years to come!

A warm welcome band a lovely (hilly) garden. It has a great viewpoint where you can picnic and at the moment there is a sculpture exhibition as well. It isn't a huge garden but large enough to walk in woods as well as see the more formal parts.

This place is brilliant. Beautiful gardens, loads of interesting things for children (play equipment, an opportunity to see a yeti, a 'little Everest' to climb...). Very nice café (I recommend Reuben tasted sandwich), lots of picnic benches if you bring your own lunch. Both occasions when we've been here we ended up staying all day.

Beautiful historic gardens with sculptures, lovely woodland garden, great walled garden with iconic water feature, Edwardian rock garden, maze and amazing views from the top. Stunning autumn colour and lots of things to have fun with kids. Friendly and welcoming stuff. One way system in narrow pass and admission by pre-booked time slots make me feel very safe to wonder around.
