It is a relaxed walk in a large garden, plus woodland, plus arbours. Take your time to see as much as you can, and make a point of sitting and taking in the surroundings - and then promise yourself to go back. Facilities are excellent and staff friendly and helpful. It's a NT jewel.

Its a lovely place with nice walks... The Rose Garden and Rocky garden area were absolutely beautiful. Lots of varieties of lovely, beautiful flowering plants. And the meadow was perfect for picnic with lots of sunshine and great view...!!

Beautiful place to visit, especially on a sunny day. The gardens offer amazing views and a huge variety of stunning flowers. Fancy a picnic? Then I couldn't recommend a better place. Even during the colder months it's an amazing place to visit. Highly recommended

One of my favourite National Trust places. Beautiful, well maintained gardens plus a great estate walk for when you fancy something a bit more strenuous. The children love the wild play area and cafe, while in bluebell season a walk in the woods is an absolute must 😊

First visit here with son, daughter in law and granddaughter. Would've loved to have come here a month or so back when all the azaleas and rhododendrons were in full bloom but due to Covid restrictions, managed to book without any problems. As expected the cafe and gift shop were closed but we had brought a full picnic so we were fine. Plenty of open space for everyone, including picnic benches dotted all over. The gardens were very well maintained, as were the toilet blocks. The rose garden was just stunning! Not a very big site but still an enjoyable few hours to wander around. Would visit again.
