Strangely laid out in a warehouse setting, the place lacks the busy comforts of other shops and has a persistent sense of unworldly desperation, as if it were stocked by fallen angels who have no idea of where it lies in the scheme of the Great Plan. I was gripped by a growing sense of unease and when the shambling phantasm dressed as an assistant rounded the shelves I was perusing, my instincts told me to flee, to get out of there as fast my legs could carry me. Calming myself, I selected a few items at random, nodded at the Dante-esque visage and walked to the tills, paid and heaving a great sigh, exited to the chill environs of the wind swept carpark. An old crone stood by my vehicle cackling and I stared in horror as she metamorphosed into a litter collector, her cruel instrument pecking at the floor like a demented bird of prey astride its carrion. I wondered if the nightmare would never end.
