My lovely old cat sadly passed away last week. All of the staff were so sensitive and kind and made the experience bearable. Thank you

A big thank you to James, Theresa and everyone else who cared for and looked after my lovely Henry this week. He could not have had better care - so glad you are there

Yesterday after walking our little pup Archie in the fields he appeared to have been stung or bitten, he was licking it constantly when we got home and we noticed it had stated to swell. After seeking advice from Kaz Dunlop it was recommended we get Archie to the vets as soon as just to be on the safe side, we were lucky enough to get an appointment that same afternoon in which Archie was seen and treated and sent home with some cream. Huge thank you to Kaz for always being on hand, to the vet who treated him and to the reception staff for fitting us in and being so lovely and caring on the phone. Archie is only 9 moths old so everything is new to us and anything out of the ordinary will worry us. but he is 100000x better today and back to his old cheeky self. Thank you Chalfont :)

For the most part, I was happy with the service. Suzy the vet was great and I appreciated her knowledge and concern , I can't fault that, thank you suzy. However I am very shocked at how Wheelhouse Chalfont reception chose to follow up with a call after I left their practice that same day. Basically on my drive home I looked back to check on my cat and I didn't see her in the cat carrier, I pulled off to the side of the road and saw that it was open, and I panicked as I couldn't see her under the seats. I called the vets to say that they didn't close the carrier and I was shaking as I was very distressed at the possibility of my cat being gone. Luckily on my drive, she emerged and climbed onto my lap, she must have hidden in the front when I stopped the car and got out to check the seats behind. So I was relieved she was safe, called the vet to let them know and was going to brush that off with them because I was grateful she was safe. I get a call and a message from the vets an hour later trying to sell me one of their old carriers if I make a donation to one of their charities, and no apology! I called the vet and spoke to a receptionist who said it was the carrier as whoever closed it said they did and that the cat opened it. Last time I checked cats don't have thumbs. I've had this cat carrier for 4 years and 3 cats have used it, I've been to different vets with different cats and no one has ever had a problem with it, no cat has ever 'escaped.' I even went abroad with this cat carrier and came back with the same cat in it and guess what, it never opened, not once during the 7 hour drive. The person who closed it snapped it down but didn't obviously didn't pay attention to see if it was aligned with the bottom for a secure close. This is what shuts the door, if you snap it down and you don't secure it by aligning it with the bottom bit that is sticking up, it won't create a secure lock, it won't close and the cat can get out. I've nearly done that mistake myself so I know it's not the cat carrier, it's the person who closes it. I would have understood if they had just said sorry, and I would have left it at that, a one off mistake but I just couldn't believe the audacity of saying the cat opened it, then suggesting I get a new carrier instead of a simple apology. It would have gone a long way. Instead I will not go back as I spent £45 and had a distressing afternoon because of it.

Been using this place for a few years for a few different animals. Had to use a different vet for some time due to moving home, who didn't diagnose my dog with a serious ear infection. Bit the bullet & travelled back to this vet who swiftly did what they had to do, came up with a treatment plan & got him on the mend. They were completely up front about Costs (not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive!) and what we were actually paying for. They treated my little pooch like family & were always polite and professional with me. Thank you very much for your help! Bruno & Craig
