I went here a few weeks ago as we was in the area and we took our dog. When we got there their was a map to show us the dog route, so we took a photo of it and started walking round. I know we have covid-19 but the upkeep was not impressive, overgrown weeds covering the footpath. There was also lots of dog fouling, some bagged and dumped into the overgrown weeds and some just left out for people to avoid. We then walked round to find ourselves walking uncomfortable close to underneath power cables, really giving us a sense of being with nature..... 🙄 We then got to the white light house to see another map which showed another route for dog owners, this left us confused as the first map suggested a different way. This route was 3 times longer and not what we wanted to do. We was now left wondering where to go and trying to find the quickest route back to the car park but the shortest was about an hour, this was not made clear to us at the start. This was my first rspb centre I have gone to and was not impressed at all, it makes me wonder where my donation money is going to because it does not seem to be going on the up keep of the centre.

Great location. Nice cafe. Just to mention that you will need a token (currently £3.00 purchased from a coin only machine in the cafe) to get out of the car park.

Lovely place for a day out with great walking routes with lots to see, the visitor centre offer hot and cold drinks with food available and RSPB staff can be found to offer some information and recommendations.
