Excellent friendly service & cleaning of clothes. Thankyou.

In short: I would not recommend 'Suitpreme' at all. They irrecoverably damaged the jumper I sent there by adding to the original stain and putting 2 holes in it. They gave what can only be described as nasty 'customer service' when I returned to politely resolve the situation. They did not offer a refund. Further Details:: I took a family member's fine gauge merino jumper here, and was glad to be supporting local business. It had a small stain on the front torso area and no other damage. They assured me they could remove the stain. No comment was made at the time of deposit or collection about either the condition of the garment or the removal of the stain. Quite reasonably therefore I assumed the garment had been cleaned as requested. Having kept the jumper in the plastic cover, still with the dry cleaning tags on in the wardrobe for a few weeks clearly unworn, my brother went to wear his jumper and saw TWO HOLES perfectly equidistant from the stain with faint water marks around them as if the jumper had been clamped in place (clearly not moth holes). We also saw that THE STAIN WAS STILL PARTLY THERE PLUS A FAINT YELLOWISH WATER MARK TWICE THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE ORIGINAL STAIN now surrounded it. I took the jumper back to Suitpreme, still in all it's wrapping with the tags on, and I politely explained the situation to the woman in store. I was at pains to be polite and non accusatory, and I explained I wanted to work out what had happened and find a solution. The woman there instantly became defensive and replied ' I know you are after money and I won't give you any'. I was of course really surprised to be spoken to this way, especially since I hadn't even mentioned anything about money. She then proceeded sarcastically to shun all responsibility. The most incredible part was when she denied she could even see the stains at all. It is worrying that a dry cleaner cannot even see a stain on a fabric. Either she was lying to cover herself or she actually couldn't see the stains. Either of those realities is clearly concerning. After she had earlier claimed she had no memory of the jumper, she then declared that the jumper was in a terrible condition when it first came in to the dry cleaners. I asked her to point out which areas were 'in terrible condition' and of course she could not. I asked if she had made note of this supposed damage at the time of cleaning and she had not. She then sarcastically offered to clean the stain again, to which I asked "Why would you offer to clean it again if you are saying there is no stain?". This proved her dishonesty. She repeated ' I know you are after money and I won't give you any. I can't help what YOUR brother has done'. This was an oddly aggressive response. By this point I felt her nature was bullying and becoming too passive aggressive. I wanted to leave so I explained that due to her unpleasant manner and illustrated lack of specialist knowledge I would not feel comfortable leaving the jumper with her again. I did my best to remain calm and fair, I never made any demands. I was not angry at any point, nor did I provide her with any reason to become as hostile as she did. I did not return her wish of a happy new year on my way out, as hers was of course completely sarcastic and dishonourable. I refuse to play those games and I felt quite shaken from her nastiness. To my surprise, I WAS NOT OFFERED A REFUND for the original clean either!! (Shockingly...) I certainly would not recommend Suitpreme. No matter what the circumstances, the way I was spoken to was appalling. Interestingly I have since mentioned the story to other locals and found I was not alone in my experience of rude and unprofessional service. I shall find another local dry cleaners to support that takes care of their customers.

Not impressed. Was asked to sign a disclaimer re shrinkage when i dropped the curtains off but wasn't worried as had had the curtains dry-cleaned elsewhere in the past and shrinkage hadn't been a problem. When I went to pick them up however the first thing i noticed thru the gap in the swing doors was that whist the assistant was trying to fold and pack the curtains she left the bottom third of the curtains trailing on the floor; they were not in a bag at this stage. When i got the curtains home sure enough they have shrunk by a couple of inches; they are also quite creased, especially the linings. Previous dry-cleaners based on Fylde Rd have returned them without shrinking them and a lot flatter than this business did. Should have made the trip to Fylde Rd, supporting your local business is not always the best idea.
