Such a gorgeous park, and a great sanctuary during the pandemic with some flat areas and steep inclines to get the heart pumping! It is so well looked after, with beautiful trees, fields and wildlife to notice as you walk through. Great for solo and group exploration!
Stunning, well maintained open space. A few car parks to choose from that are very reasonably priced and lots of walks through the woods and around the cental lake. Even has a kids play area near the welcome centre. Was nice to see the toilets open too in the current climate. Very handy for the little ones and also the bigger ones who drink too much tea or coffee before visiting 😊
Very sarrallama
Love Highwoods lots of space and some lovely walks in the heart of Colchester. Our rescue dog we adopted in Spain has spent her first visit to UK with nose to the ground in this lovely place So we three give it the full five stars.
Lovely. The walk is long enough to feel like a real activity but not too long so the kids don't get tired. We picked up some chestnuts to roast and we did the Halloween trails which was fun and interesting.
