if i could give 0 level of service i would... dropped car back over 3 weeks ago and now i have recieved a email informing me that i must make a payment of £175.00 within the next 10day due to damage caused to the vehicle no pictures provided not even a damage report from hertz... no point trying to call the branch no one ever answers nor does anyone answer emails... this company is a bloody joke and is about to rip people off with no evidence

Pleasant staff. Got a free upgrade. Got a puncture on the M6. Full size spare, jack but no wheel brace! I guess they take them out! Had my tools so i changed it at the roadside. Advice to others: ALWAYS have your own excess insurance, it’s cheap £40! NEVER take the full tank option, you will spend all your time looking at the fuel gauge. To make it pay you have to return the car with under 30 miles range left!

After hertz rented a MANUAL van to my wife who only has an AUTOMATIC license - she was unable to drive the van obviously. Hertz then expected myself to return from Scotland to London to return the van to them. They charged us for two extra days when the Van couldn’t be returned and suggested my wife should have driven it back ILLEGALLY. James and Faisal at Heathrow showed no empathy whatsoever think that this rental is acceptable although the van couldn’t be used legally. As my wife could not drive the van legally and we couldn’t use it before our tenancy ended it also left us stuck in London with nowhere to stay leaving my 3 year old and 4 year old homeless in London. Hertz still think this rental is legitimate and even charged us for premium insurance that would never possibly have been used unless we drove the van illegally which after they rented it illegally was not surprising. Poor service no compassion and our move was forced due to Covid-19 and hertz then found it appropriate to take over £500 from us for a van they knew we could never use. Faisal at Heathrow acknowledged verbally and in writing that our rental was worthy of a refund but would not issue one due to him working at Heathrow and the rental coming from stansted even though the stansted branch was closed and there were no staff there to deal with us. This was in the middle of June since then james and Faisal have done nothing but try to justify this completely fraudulent rental and theft from us.
