One of the things I loved about this museum was that you were able to sit inside some of the aircraft, now this is not at all common anymore and I didn’t expect to be able to, to my surprise though most of the cockpits were open !!! My daughter loved climbing inside the aircraft and taking the controls of an actual aircraft (the first she has ever sat in!) after calming her down when then went to the Morse code station (which was possibly new…) and I sat there and taught her how to spell her name in Morse code. we moved around the museum and I was imparting my (very limited) knowledge and she was loving it taking in all of her surroundings and all of the interactive exhibitions. Just before leaving we viewed the Dambusters tribute and then made our way out through the model room, my daughter's draw dropped when she saw how many models were in there and she even managed to name a few, then as we were leaving she spotted… The T.A.R.D.I.S (Time and Relative Dimension in Space for the uninitiated) from Dr Who! We stopped briefly in the shop which had quite a lot of aviation themed gifts very fairly priced including some Corgi Aviation models which i absolutely love ! I've added two pictures one of me and one of my daughter sat in the same helicopter 20 years apart.

Lovely museum that has very varied exhibits regarding the history of flight through the various theatres of War and celebrating the history of the mountain rescue service. Lots to see and planes to sit in, mostly on one level so easy access for the majority of the exhibits, well worth a visit on the lovely coast of Wales, nice cafe opposite which is part of the air ambulance head quarters.

Great place to visit for young and old. Plenty of hands on for youngsters and lots of interesting information

Not big, but well filled hall with real nice exhibits. Sitting in cockpits of various jet fighters puts your imagination to work! Well worth the £5 (I'm a senior, adults pay £6,50). Don't forget to have a drink and a bite at the Air Ambulance cafe across the car park. Small airfield with flight experience and flying lessons next door.

Brilliant little Museum. Great access to a number of Aircraft and Helicopter cockpits. Loads of info about aircraft that have crashed in the area, local medal winners and an area featuring a huge range of model aircraft. If your in the area well worth a visit.
