All of the veterinarians are very good and very helpful, can't fault them. They provide some honest advice. Some of the receptionist staff however are not the friendliest or that helpful at all. I recently changed to a independent local vet as a feel the general advice and medical advice is more honest.

My cat pumba had a castration booked last tuesday, I turned up around 9:30 and I must say that the reception team apart from the older lady and including the nurse that saw me in need to be a bit more friendly! At the end of the day I am paying money and leaving my fur baby in a strange place for a procedure, if they are not friendly I do not feel confident leaving him in there! Also, it’s unbelievable that the vet doesn’t see the owner of the animal before the procedure, blows my mind! Specially if the vet never saw that animal before. I also asked how much it would cost to cut his nails while he was under anaesthesia and was told £20?? Cost almost as much as my own manicure! Work on your customer service, just because you are a big chain doesn’t mean anything.

Because in this difficult time the vet and the lady on reception who dealt with me and my cats managed to stick to covid policies but delivered their usual professional, friendly and efficient job. I know on lots of levels this can prove difficult, it was a later , afternoon appointment so could be forgiven for feeling otherwise lacking but both were brilliant. I very much appreciated my appointment, the explanation about how it would all be done and the new vaccine. As I watched through the closed door the vet had to chase one of my cats round the consultation room and very gently prize the other from her hiding place behind the computer screen, she was gentle and showed great care and patience.

We recently had our cat treated by Vets4Pets for cancer. The service we received was excellent and compassionate. Unfortunately we had to have our cat put to sleep but again the level of compassion and service was exemplary. I would have no hesitation in recommending Vets4Pets whatsoever and when the time is right for us to get a new cat its where will going.

Bit of a loss actually. I recently took my young cat in for her boosters and for the vet to check her leg because it seemed to be giving her bother, on and off for a week. The vet wasn't able to check her leg, due to the cat being scared and a screen between me and the vet, so I couldn't hold her down. Fast forward about 10 days and our cat's leg gave way, she howled in real, genuine pain. She couldn't put any weight on it and she was was frightened and in so so much pain. Spent a night resting, catflap locked. My partner phoned the vet first thing this morning, to be told that the vet who we saw was going to call us back soon as was operating at that moment.. Never got a call, so we called again at lunch, to be told the same. Tried calling them in the late afternoon, to be told the same again. I then called myself, saying that we didn't care which vet we saw, honestly, we just have a cat in considerable pain. I don't see why their system of allocating a vet was leaving our cat in distress (we used to be under Garrick anyway, not this lady and never had an issue before under his care). I also said we would like preferably an x-ray too, plus because she's nervous, sedation for examination. Was put on hold for over 5 minutes without clear explanation as to why, to expect a delay or what they were doing. I hung up, phoned back immediately for the same receptionist to answer the phone. (Poor move imo). Was told again that the vet would call us when out of her operations and that there was an 8 day waiting list for an x-ray! Am sorry to admit that I lost the will to live. Told them that they advertise care for animals, in emergencies too and yet they are unwilling to help. Was told that other emergencies had taken up the x-ray slots for over a week!! Do what? That's not emergencies, emergencies happen without warning... We have a cat that needs help and that didn't seem to sink in and I am ashamed that I hung up on them out of frustration, worry for my cat and upset but I wasn't rude or abusive, I just hung up. All day we waited for a call, been told someone would call us and nobody did, ignoring an animal in pain. I again tried to call at 5pm, then 5.30pm (they close at 7pm) and nobody picked up, I let the phone ring for around 5 mins each time. So we are left in limbo. I appreciate that the pandemic is causing issues, but lack of communication, help and broken promises has nothing to do with pandemics and everything to do with this place not being ran as good as it should be. My cat is the one who continues to suffer and as a responsible and caring pet owner, I am quite rightly worried, disgusted and frustrated and my trust and respect for this vets has pretty much disappeared.
