Just newly opened because of Covid restrictions bookings had to be made for house, garden and tearoom online. We got there to find our house and garden visit had been booked for the same 1 hour slot which isn't do-able. The staff were doing their best so we were happy to compromise by viewing the house and then because it was a lovely September day having lunch in the garden where there are many installations to look at.

Interesting paintings, variety of images and objects, some extraordinary, many very beautiful. Worth visiting. Good cafe too

Very friendly staff. Smallish museum with 5 rooms of mixed old & modern art. Lovely to look round and set in beautiful grounds and building.

Very interesting place with lovely art in attractive surroundings. When we went they were showing the British Wild Life Photography entrants. Apart from that special exhibition there are many interesting exhibited in the house and garden. The entire place is quite relaxed, and it could maybe do with a kick off paint to smarten it up, but it is really interesting. The building itself is attractive. There was a party of primary school children going round and they were absorbed and obviously having a great time. There were enthusiastic helpers with them and there are already many opportunities for children to learn about and experience art. We had a coffee in the cafe; that was slightly disappointing since it was merely filtered coffee in one of those machines that keeps it warm all day. In these days of more interesting coffees this was a bit of a let-down. The shop was a delight however. Full of interesting items, cards, stationery and worth while investigating for gifts. If you do visit, make sure to see the large flower canvas "The Flower Cycle" by Rosalind Wise in the stairway, this is a sight to behold indeed, and week worth the visit in its own right

Beautiful at gallery in a lovely manor house style focusing on nature. They have some great paintings and sculptures. They regularly have good events, there was a craft fair when we were there so the kids made some paper flowers. Their guest exhibitions are also worth a look. We saw the national wildlife photographer of the year exhibition which was fantastic! Very reasonable entrance price and we didn't sample the cafe but I'd have liked to.
