Lovely place. You do pay for parking but it's not too expensive. Lots of great walks and a cute little cafe with outside seating. Good social distanced set up too. 👍

Beautiful setting. Lovely accessible walk around the lake. Opportunity to branch out on other walks. Also a running route and Go Ape. A pleasant cafe( closed Wednesdays) at the moment operating as a take away. Plenty of outside picnic tables though. Cafe only takes card payments at the moment. Parking charge but valid for all the forestry sites in the area. Toilets also available. Well worth a visit.

Located in the middle of the Forest of Dean, the centerpiece is the very pretty lake. However there are a lot of walking paths and cycling trails I go off in a number of directions and connect to other interesting places. Great place for walking and fabulous for an off-road family cycle ride.
