Absolutely stunning walk, feels like going back in time. Good mixed walk, plenty of up and downs with stunning waterfalls, bridges and pools along the way. Not for those needing wheelchairs or for people who struggle with hills.

Beautiful quiet walk through lovely forestry, but quite steep in every direction, so you need to be fit!

An absolutely wonderful forest that you can spend days just wandering about inside. The diversity of trees in certain parts is really interesting; some parts of the reserve are just flooded with pines and other parts, particularly closer to the river, are exclusively old English Oaks. While not particularly big, the winding terrain and high elevations mean that you'd struggle to go everywhere in just one visit. A really interesting example of old British woodlands and it's really reassuring to see the Woodland Trust maintaining and opening up new paths, while preserving as much of the forest as possible.

Amazing place. Everything is covered in moss. However being situated next to a nuclear power station doesn't suprise me. The micro-climate that exists in this woodland is incredible. The power station was decommissioned 15 years ago so go take a look at how nature is reclaiming it's place.

Beautiful ancient forest, lots of trees, ferns, and fungi. Map at the entrance slightly out of date, and some paths not as dry and navigable as one might like, but overall very enjoyable.
