These guys really know their profession. Grethe and Hennie are the best dentists I have had the pleasure to meet. They have a team of staff that compliment the practice with excellence in all aspects of patient care. Grethe and Hennie took over the practice some time ago from another superb dentist Mark who now works in the hospital setting. I have been a patient at Oakwood for a number of years and was glad it was taken over by such lovely people. They offer the latest in dental treatments and all pain free, one could not ask for more. They always try see emergencies asap to suit the patient so they are not in pain for long. Oakwood Dental really have put a lot of work into making the practice safe during these difficult times we all find ourselves in. I would say a big thank you for that as I have had to use them twice for emergency dental work since lockdown. I would therefore recommend Oakwood Dental Botley to anyone who requires the best dental care by people that really go above and beyond.

I chipped my front tooth back in June during the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown. My previous practice told me they wouldn’t be doing any permanent treatment until the national COVID level had gone from 3 to 2, so thinking that it wouldn’t be too long I decided to wait it out. Fast-forward over 3 months, I read a report back in September stating that the level would be going up from 3 to 4, so I decided I wanted to get my tooth fixed before we went into another national lockdown. After a referral from a friend, I immediately enquired with Oakwood. Their service was brilliant, I initially called on the Wednesday and was seen by Hennie (the dentist), the very next day. He gave me a variety of options for the tooth that included another filling, or an EMAX Crown; in simple terms this is where they scan your other front tooth and make a complete copy of it so both are matching. I opted for the crown and was back in 3 weeks later. After a few hours in the dental chair the process was complete in a relatively pain-free manner, I think the results speak for themselves in the pictures. If you’re like me and don’t exactly enjoy trips to the dentist, then I 100% recommend Oakwood, their approach to dental care is second-to-none, and the staff make you feel right at home from the minute you walk through the door, even in a COVID secure manner. I went to this clinic for cosmetic reasons and I couldn’t be happier. I knew my old veneers were misaligned and chipped, but only realised how bad they were after comparing the before and after photos side by side. Grethe did a great job with my front teeth and put me at ease when my gag reflex kicked in, making the whole experience bearable. My teeth look natural now and I am again able to chew without discomfort. Overall I am very pleased with my experience at the practice.

Professional, friendly, the whole team made my experience incredibly easy. For a person who suffers terribly from dental phobia, Hennie and his team made this my most favourite ever trip to the dentist. I will never worry again but will hop skip and jump to see them again. I changed to this dental practice earlier this year purely due to difficulty reaching my old practice due to increasing levels of traffic, rendering it impossible to reach the surgery for early morning or late afternoon appointments to fit in with work. I introduced my mother to Oakwood in July and they have been brilliant with her. We started the process of fixing mum up with new dentures in time for her 80th birthday. Unfortunately Mum had a serious fall in September and following a CT scan not only did she have a broken elbow and ribs they discovered that she was terminally ill. Following discharge from hospital it was very apparent that Mum would not be able to return to the surgery to finalise the fitting process of the dentures. I asked Hennie if he could visit Mum instead. He agreed and despite the understandable obstacles of not having a patient close to all tools and equipment within the surgery she now has an amazing new set of teeth that don't slip, slide or cause discomfort. Thank you to the practice for going above and beyond to ensure that Mum now finally has a fabulous set of dentures. I would truly recommend this practice to anyone. I'm also extremely happy with the service I have received. Try them. You won't be disappointed.
