The owners of the coffee bar are welcoming and helpful to everyone, whatever age. They try very hard to support all their customers which is a wonderful thing to do in today's society with less time and care for others. However, bills have to be paid, whether one is 19 or 99, so maybe to avoid confusion and upset, relatives could take the initiative, and set up an arrangement to avoid any misunderstandings in the future.
