Ordered using click and collect, fast and efficient and in line with covid guidelines

Normally, Screwfix is relaxed, efficient and friendly. Not today. I bought a tap valve cartridge, took it home and tried to fit it. It was the right cartridge, but the old screw for attaching the handle didn't fit the new cartridge. I went back to Screwfix to buy the right screw. They kept me standing outside in the rain (Covid) and wouldn't let me in until I gave them the right part number for the screw for the cartridge they'd just sold me. I didn't know what kind of screw it was. They, presumably, did. But they wouldn't let me in out of the rain until I gave them the unguessable part number, and they wouldn't just look at the cartridge and try screws until one fitted. The chap on the door even insisted that Screwfix doesn't sell screws for plumbing. I eventually got the grub screw I needed from Pipescenes in Eastleigh. It took about a minute, and there was no arm-wrestling. Wish I'd gone there in the first place.

Great shop yoy can savd pounds buying hre the only issue is at the present time is you can't pick up and look at the things you want before you buy.

Miserable person behind counter just asked what the last four digits without explaining its the order number. Just literally poured a bag of loose goods on the counter and say there you go and walked off. No politeness at all. Miserable surly service - I will spend my money elsewhere and plan ahead in future based on this experience you can keep your goods. Oh yes all down to Covid stripped service I bet altough I did buy something in the height of the pandemic and it was 10 times better than it is now. I am now going to close ALL my screwfix accounts including my company one - NEVER AGAIN I'M FINISHED.
