One of my local lakes. We have a few of them around Andover plus a couple of major rivers. River Anton and the River Avon. Rooksbury is easy to wonder around both lakes. Fishing is allowed on one of them.in the middle we have a nature reserve which is off limits to the local dog walkers.(still get the odd idiot who does walk them though). Big free car park and easy access. No toilets. Spend 30 minutes to walk all the way round or more to sit on the numerous benches enjoying the experience

This is great for a peaceful walk. It's like an oasis here with plenty to see. I have seen swans, water voles, different ducks and geese and even a blue flash across the lake of a King Fisher. There are many swims here for fishing and it's a shirt walk to the town centre to get a coffee.
