Following a life long passion for flying I came upon HOFF Aviation by chance having talked to a number of other training schools with their high pressure selling tactics. Alex HOFF spent time talking me through what was required and his approach, which I found very professional and flexible to meet my needs and busy schedule. His experience, knowledge, skill and patience is second to none and my PPL is now within sight and I look forward to continuing my training with Alex in the future. You cannot go wrong with HOFF Aviation.

I converted my Australian CPL to a UK CPL with Captain Hoff after recommendations from other contacts in the industry. He was very professional, thorough and helpful which was backed up with a huge amount of experience across the UK helicopter scene. His knowledge was immense and I was able to pass the CPL test with ‘flying colours’. In 2017 I converted my ICAO CPL(H) to an EASA CPL(H). Alex guided me through the entire process, from having to learn UK airspace, RT, and a Cabri G2 type rating, I found Alex to be professional and thorough. He worked with me to achieve a first time CPL Skills Test pass. With this solid UK foundation, I am now working for a reputable UK based helicopter company. I highly recommend Alex for all your helicopter training needs.

Having trained for my PPL with Alex Hoff, I returned in November 2019 to train for my Night rating. Alex has a vast amount of experience as a helicopter pilot, instructor and examiner. I am always learning something new with him and it is also particularly useful to fly with an instructor who has a significant amount of experience in a Guimbal Cabri G2. Thank you for your great customer service and help with my night training and with the completion of all the CAA paperwork needed for the issue of my rating.
