Named after a black swan!
A wonderful place to view wild foal in their splendor surroundings. There is a wooden gate at entry wide enough for a wheel chair that leads to a wooden man made viewing shelter platform, which allows the viewer to get close to part of the pond. There is also a path which allows people to walk partly around the pond for a closer viewing point. Near by are a few free disabled parking bays but normally are taken during the day so be expected to park in the Victory country park where there is a charge and a fifteen minutes walk to Sophie's pond. Sophie was a young girl who had health restrictions but had the termination to build this wonderful place for you and I to enjoy. Up close swans who were happy for some food. Still a lovely Christmas day trip for some fresh air. The ducks seemed happy for a visit. 👍
Very busy and full of seagulls.
Hardly a case of feeding the ducks at all as the seagulls fight for everything you give them.
Not a very nice pond at all really although the general scene of it is nice if it was surrounded by seagulls pooing everywhere.
Well kept and lots of wildlife. Plenty of birds to feed (seeds not bread!) and even the swans were friendly!
