A really good small park. Two small car parks which are sufficient. Children's play area. Not a huge amount of open space but good woodland walks especially useful if you have a dog.
Nice woods and free car park. Good play area and a small pond. Good walking trails. Theirs 2 entrances the car park and play park side and at the other end along the farnborough road. In the centre of the woods their is a big open space with benches and unusual trees and branches to explore. Great for kids!
As a dog walker I use this for a couple of the dogs from the local area, really nice and clean, easy pathways to follow, I spend roughly 45 minutes here.
I absolutely love these woods. They are just magical. There are trees that you can climb, even a grove where all the trees are easily climbable. There are tall and wide trees that are perfect for playing hide and seek with. There is a rope swing that must have been out up by a local. Something I am immensely grateful for as my children (1 and 3) absolutely love it.
Someone has built a house out of cut tree branches and the children love playing in that too.
There are ample benches, little woodland paths and wide open spaces. We have taken picnic blankets and sat and chilled in the open spaces.
There's a little area where there are fallen trees covered in dirt. They have created little dirt mounds and ramps that my children love running up and down.
There's also a small pond where ducks can be found, though it appears to have dried up at the moment in the sun.
The children's park is attached to the woods and that is actually a huge park with a climbing rock, a huge climbing frame, a smaller one for younger children, 3 different slides, a net swing and an adventure trail. It's a wonderful park. It also has picnic benches in it and is perfect for the summer.
There are a couple of different car parks you can park in when visiting the park.
A wonderful park, just a shame Esso are going to have to rip up a load of mature trees to upgrade their pipeline 🙁 I only hope this won't impact the park too much
