It's a fairly small park, but run down but with interesting information about the historical site. The visitor centre was closed and it was therefore difficult to get any information like maps or other interesting flyers. We managed to go round the park in less than 45 mins with a toddler in tow. Not our favourite but will have to see in summer if the experience is any different.

Great place to visit. Lots of interesting facts about the history of the gunpowder works dotted around. Also a lovely nature walk. You will find wildlife buzzing around and see plenty of ducks on the lake. Great place to walk the dog. We will go again when the facilities are open. Due to COVID the visitors centre and toilets aren't open. So make sure you got before you leave at the moment.

Lovely little park. Clean with adequate facilities and lots of pokey holes and paths. The information about the old buildings is also an added bonus.
