We have used this dentist for many years and the service has become steadily worse. You cannot get through to them on the phone at anytime, we had to phone the head office in Manchester just to make a routine appointment. That is bad enough but it gets worse, in April I had an abscess under a tooth, I was unable to make an appointment as they were not taking any bookings due to Covid. I had to contact NHS 111 and an immediate appointment was made with the emergency dentist, they tried a course of antibiotics which worked. In August it flared up again this time I managed to obtain an emergency appointment with my practice, the dentist also tried antibiotics but warned me that the tooth will likely have to come out. Once again the antibiotics worked but in December it has flared up again. We rang the Manchester office because we could not get through to Preston and were informed that the dentist cannot see the tooth until the 21/1/21. Rang NHS 111 and they put me in contact with the emergency dentist immediately for treatment. They may Smile when they take your money but I am not smiling in pain!

Avoid this dentist! Absolutely awful practice, takes months to get in for an appointment and then when you do finally get one they cancel it without informing you. I have an abscess and infected tooth been in agony for weeks yet refused any treatment from this dentist because of covid. Terrible service!

I have just had a filling and a clean. My faith in this dentist has been restored. It took me 18 months to go back after a certain dentist ( who is not there anymore) lifted me off the chair whilst extracting a back molar. The lady who I have just seen is a lovely Asian lady.

Needed an extraction. Dentist gave me 8 injections & couldn't numb my mouth. All she could do was laugh & make out that there was something wrong with me!! NO, IDIOT you were were doing it wrong because I went elsewhere where I had 2 injections & had the tooth extracted, pain free!

I’m writing this on behalf of my sister in law regarding her treatment at this dentist. I’m writing this complaint regarding the disgraceful treatment I received at this dentist last Monday 20th March 2019 when I attended for a dental appointment. I had severe toothache which affected the whole of my mouth and gums as well as with pain radiating up the side of my face and down my neck which made me feel very ill. I was seen by an Asian female dentist who proceeded to drill a tooth but at this point she did not know if there was any infection or which tooth was causing the problem, which I thought she should have found out first. This procedure became too painful for me as the injection she gave me did not take effect, which I advised her of so she then decided to stop and call on another dentist for advice. She then conducted an x-ray of the tooth and surrounding gums to check on the damage to the nerves roots etc - you would have thought as a qualified dentist she would have known to do this first before drilling into any tooth. The x-ray she conducted was unclear so she decided to send me to the Royal Preston hospital for another x-ray. I was given a disc from the hospital with the results on to take back to the dentist on Wed 20th March 2019 but the dentist advised these were not that clear also. The dentist then decided to put me on antibiotics but I was puzzled as I have to question why she did not do this initially on the Monday when I first went, as the pain I was in was excruciating and she told me to take ibuprofen which did not touch the pain I was in. I felt that I was treated with very little empathy throughout my visits and have since decided to leave this Practice. The ladies on the reception were nice, pleasant and helpful but I will, as said, not be going back to this Practice and have found a alternative dentist who has been recommended to me by my family. On informing the Practice I wouldn’t be returning there was no questions asking me why I was leaving, which shocked me. As I have now changed dentist I thought it would be best to obtain back my x-ray result from them, which I’d had done by the hospital, but the Practice refused to let my sister pick this up for me, even though I gave my consent, as I currently have to be careful due to the heavy doses of painkillers I have been taking when driving. Overall, all I can say is BEWARE if you use this Practice as I would not be recommending them.
