Much easier to walk now that the paths have been cleared of fallen leaves - and there were a lot. Lovely when they were crisp, dry and golden brown. Not so good after the wet weather!

Excellent varied public town park. Ideal for all ages, modern children's play ground, cafe, walks in gardens and woodlands and feeding the ducks in the lake. Free car park

Beautifully kept park, with great lawns, flowers, exotic-looking trees. The Old Marsden Hall adds an interesting historical dimension, although it’s not especially well looked after, with rubbish visible behind the stable gates. In the early evening, restless teens are drawn to the park, whose brooding, sulky glares might dissuade others from hanging around. The park is large, however, and parking in and without available.
