St Wyddyn’s Church is near to the Hotel, one can enjoy a relaxed walk from the Hotel or one can turn up a minor road with a turnoff just before arriving at the dam wall. The Church priest has a manse nearby, parking is not an issue, the interior of the Church is impressive their are memorial plaques on the walls. The well maintained churchyard is on steep slope. For times of worship one is advised to check in advance.
This church says on its website it got disabled access which it has not got the users. Help me up these steps and there was two lots of steps I would of brought my own raps two use if kwon I asked the vicar at the church and she looked at me vacant nice church
St Wddyn's Church was built at the expense of the Liverpool Corporation in 1887 to replace the parish church of St John submerged by the flooding of the Vyrnwy valley.
The church is an arts and crafts interpretation of the Early English Gothic. The stained glass is very attractive and the interior features a small model of the former church.
The book rest is carved from the yew tree in the original graveyard. Many of the graves were relocated, the oldest dating to the 1660s, along with two yew saplings from the original church yard.
A little gem of a church in a wonderful location.
