Popped to Loughborough for a lunch date then we decided to take the our 15months old baby to this park and he loved it! It was his first time playing in the sand area, which was quiet around the time we went. Lots of fun things to play on including slides, swings, spinner etc. Overall a great play area for small & older children.
Lovely park to spend time with little one and dare I say, I rather come here than travelling to Nottingham. It's a rare gem to get such a nice park in the city nowadays around UK, other than London/ Edinburgh.
If the high street is the living heart of Loughborough then Queen's Park is it's lungs. This glorious place is just a few steps away from all the hustle and bustle in the town's high street. Yet it's worlds apart, it's majestically quiet, yet full of children's laughters. It is magnificently beautiful, especially in the spring when it's fully blooming with the colour of a thousand flowers. It's a home away from home for every true Loughboroughian.
It's a really pretty park for everyone. One of the prettiest attractions this town has to offer. It is stunning in the summer, with all the flowers blooming and the birds singing, and there's enough sitting areas. There's a playground for kids and has the town library and charnwood museum next to it. There are little water fountains and a little pond with birds and ducks. Great for picnics and walks. Golf area (but not sure if it's public).
Lovely place to come and visit. Flat surface for relaxing strolls, cycling or other leisurely activities, park for the kids, ponds and fountains with ducks and even cages with birds to view! There was also a café that we didn't get to try but will definitely recommend to come and spend some time here!
