The Place is packed with set of routes : hills, forest, path around the lake (assuming that is sand quarry in past). Great place for walking dogs. Sort of industrial part is near though, the nature of which difficult to define. The is public parking (not sure what charges there but you have to pay) of road.

Beware! Have had enjoyable visits here several times throughout the summer with no problems. Although, visited on the 31st July & due to the parking ticket machine not working, have now received a £100 parking fine, along with the other car we travelled with. Rather a convenient way for the Parking & Security Solutions to rip off visitors! Emails were ignored so I appealed in writing as stated. Of course, there has been no reply, leaving me no option but to pay the fine. Certainly wont be visiting here again, turned out to be an expensive day out! An absolute a waste of time appealing, haven't heard anything 6 weeks later. It does say on the reverse of the Parking Charge Notice that 'if you pay the charge & subsequently appeal, your appeal will not be processed'. A no-win situation! I paid the £60 fine, rather than pay £100. I'll bet if I hadn't paid the fine, & appealed, I still wouldn't have had a reply! Thanks for your concern, but I still feel aggrieved!

Beautiful area to walk round. Litter issue is improving. My dog gives it a thumbs up 👍🏻

I just went to this place for the First Time Today with my Girlfriend. Such a Beautiful Wasted Space. First of all the Parking its very expensive - 7.50 Pounds for 3 Hours... Last Weekend We went to Lowestoft and it was 5.50 for the all Day, just an example. Although We are not allowed to do a BBQ, We done it, away from any Vegetation that could catch Fire and then took all the litter with Us, the amount of Rubbish I saw over the place was moderate. I don't blame the people Who Take care of cleaning the Park (If there are Any) but the Uncivilised People Who can't Camp/Walk/Picnic/Swim without leaving everything Dirty for others and Ruin a Nice place like this. Although Swimming/Camping/BBQ are not allowed wouldn't be such a problem if People had a Good common sense. I told This to my Girlfriend today -"The Signs are there for a Reason, You don't go swim If You don't know what's in the Water" which She replied -"I wouldn't but They just say Do not Swim, They don't specify a reason why I shouldn't Swim. Fair Point, so I explained Her the Danger of Quarry's that a lot of people Are not aware, some You can't even See (No, this is not based on an American Horror Movies). The Water itself can contain Infections or Deadly Bacteria, Toxic Algae, Industrial Pollution (Which can even Include Heavy Machinery Underwater) and Water Shock (I have once Had this as Kid In Portugal and I can Assure You it doesn't matter How Fit You are, I would Say it's more a Matter of Luck in here...) Conclusion: With the Money that is spent solely in the Parking for Sure the Owners of this Quarry's could Make this better and secure for everyone. People will swim here no Matter How many signs You put Over the Place, They Will do BBQ, Camping, etc... So my suggestion is, create the right conditions for the people to do this Activities.

This place is beautiful but once paid we was told we could not swim in the water which was the main reason we went there for. Also there was no toilets anywhere and lots of toilet roll pieces around the woods. There was lots of people paddling in the small lake anyway but they was not allowed any blow up boats or swimming which is a real shame as it would be perfect for that.
