As Alec Baldwin proclaims in his classic 'coffee is for closers' monologue in Glengarry Glen Ross, a customer doesn't come on the lot unless they want to buy. As a Samsung advocate of many years standing, I was delighted when Samsung opened a concession in Norwich. Their phones may seem a tad slow out of the box, but once you've made a few basic tweaks in Developer Options and spent some time setting them up, their Androids run as fast as Usain Bolt, I find. The first thing I noticed when I entered Samsung's Norwich branch pre-lockdown was that the staff seemed to be standing around gossiping near the till, regarding the customers as though they were mysterious troublesome wild beasts who had invaded the store for no particular reason. Plenty of customers were hovering by phones presumably waiting for advice, then left. Presumably to research models and find a decent deal online. I decided to upgrade myself from my original tentative choice to a Galaxy A50, which was on offer with a whopping £100 off. The staff member who served me was a tad offhand, and complained at his till when it failed to produce a paper receipt for some unexplained reason. However, I did receive the email receipt I was promised and the phone itself was up to Samsung's usual quality. I was going to add a case and see if I could barter a few pounds off, but decided to visit a budget store and buy an unbranded case of the right size instead. I doubt I shall visit this branch again. If you are not interested in my paying your wages with my purchases, I am not hugely interested in spending money with you when I can just find a decent deal online with a little patient research. I am not from Mitch and Murray and I am not on a mission of mercy. I don't expect to be treated like minor royalty, but nor do I expect to be treated like a minor inconvenience either.

I went to look at a mobile phone with my 3 year old son the staff could not have been more helpful the gentleman I dealt with took the time to talk to my son which made him and myself feel at ease. He listened to all of my needs and gave me clear and precise advice on which phone would benefit me. I did not feel at any time pushed or rushed into making a decision I felt that he was looking after my best interest and not pushing me towards a more expensive phone. He was more then happy to spend time showing me features of the phone. Unfortunately I can not remember his name but the customer service was 100% perfect I would definitely recommend this store and the staff to any body. As you can appreciate having a bored three year old in a mobile phone store can be extremely stressful a big thank you to the gentleman who served me and the team at the store for helping this become less stressful.

Popper in today to have a look at the S10 and S20 as thinking of upgrading due to my S8 not charging properly recently... The guy in the shop took a quick look, notice what the issue was and within 5 minutes he had taken my details and was out the back of the store doing the necessary repair and fixed the issue! Top notch customer service and all because the Vodafone store opposite told me to look in there as the display phones in Samsung are actually working, unlike the Vodafone ones 😂

Visited with the intention of purchasing a laptop on Monday 03/08/20 at 15:25, however when I arrived, despite wearing my mask for the most of the day, I did have my mask down, the bald man, in quite passively aggressive manner, said, do I have a breathing problem, whereas he could have politely asked me to put it on as I did straight away as I realised I had it done. After this no one helped me or asked me if I’d come In for anything in particular, rather they all stared and made me feel unwelcome and embarrassed! I do understand i needed a mask, however the attitude was quite intimidating. I work in a similar industry and have to remind people, hourly, to wear there masks properly, however I seem to do so in a much politer manner. Thank you

Waited 24 minutes to be served while staff chatted, I walked out no customer service at all. Plenty of better phone shops nearby
