Great place to visit, either by yourself or with children. You can tell staff are caring and passionate about their work and the birds. They have lots of different birds and lots of options to do. The place is in a lovely location, not huge but my wife and I enjoyed around 4 hours here and watched 2 displays which were quite different but both were amazing. It is well worth a visit, the cafe is small and very reasonably priced, but there is a lot of picnic benches outside so why not take your own. Providing the weather is good, it is worth a visit.
Wonderful place with a varied and impressive array of Birds to see. The daily shows are spectacular and extremely informative and well presented. We do not live in Yorkshire, but we will definitely be back when we are back in town and will also be renewing our sponsorship of one of these fabulous birds later in the year. This is a great day out, super value for money in a wonderful setting. Please support these guys as much as you possibly can, they are doing a fantastic job and amazing work in aiding the conservation of these beautiful birds. Get yourself down there whenever you can, you will not be disappointed, its brilliant ๐๐๐๐๐
Wonderful place! Came across it by accident on google and thought Iโll give it a try and good job I did! My 7 year old who is into birds absolutely loved it and so did I. Definitely worth a visit with or without children youโre guaranteed to enjoy it! The only downside is the lack of indoor space where you could wait for the next show if the weather is not too good, but that said it wonโt stop me from returning!
Havent been for a number of years. Very welcoming and they have fantastic array of birds of prey that you are able to view across the small grounds. The little shop is able to provide hot and cold drinks with crisps, sweets etc, bring your own pack lunch though. 3 flying displays all with different birds that are listed in the courtyard. The displays are led by Kerry with Dave/Colin, all very knowledgeable and engaging. Would recommend for a few hours out and like many places they need all the support during these difficult times.
Did the 'Owl Experience' today - close up with c. 6 species from small to large, and flying them.
Excellent guides. Highly recommended - or you could do the eagles or birds of prey alternatives.
