In my opinion, you can tell a lot about someone by how they treat their pets.
I enjoy keeping pet rats, which like me are very individualistic, albeit friendly, and like to be largely left to their own devices.
Whereas dog owners appear to enjoy giving orders and expect both animals and people to perform tricks and obey their every whim.
They tend to say things like, "I don't trust cats. They're too independent."
Should you enjoy ordering your dog around, Sewell Park offers a compact grassy area in which to do so. Although you may wish to wear Wellingtons in winter as the park seems prone to becoming waterlogged. And since a main road runs adjacent, do ensure the gates are tightly closed in case your dog tries to flee.
Benches are frequent and there is also a separate play area for youngsters.
The Sewell family, who donated the land, numbered among themselves Anna Sewell, author of the equine classic Black Beauty.
I have yet to see a dark horse trotting through Sewell Park, but I live in hope.
Lovely, dog friendly park.
It's enclosed so you can feel safe to let your dog off for a run.
It may be fairly small, but it's always lovely to sit and relax in.
Was over here last Sunday it's a Great Park for letting your dog off the lead, fully enclosed so they can't get out, my dog loved it, there is also a play area for children.
Google in its wisdom thinks driving past the park counts as a visit, I have never been in this park but I saw there was lots of grass so I assume it is a good park, as usual Google thinks it knows better than me
Lovely little children's play area at the back. Definitely better for younger kids. A bit boring for older kids.
