My son is about to finish his 2nd year at Glendon Montessori and forest school to begin his reception year after differring his start date by a year due to being a summer born. When he began here he was a happy little boy but not overly confident and was (and continues to be) risk averse. These last couple of year we have watched him bloom in to a confident, caring boy that knows his mind and has a self confidence to be who he chooses. This is massively in part to the staff at this nursery. They put so much love, care and time in to the children in their care that it honestly feels like leaving him with family. They embrace the child completely and encourage their individuality and abilities. No trace of trying to fit a round peg in to a square hole. As positive as I am that my son will flourish going forwards, if they were to open a primary school we would be first on the list. I can not thank Grace, Tom, Julia 😉 Paula, Eleanor,, Ashley, Ashley, Sarah and Abigail enough. You have all played such a big part in my boys life and if you are looking for a nursery, you will be a very lucky parent to get a place here!

Having a very attached 3 year old, I was concerned about how he would settle at a nursery. However I needn't have worried, he bounces down the stairs at the end of each session with the biggest smile on his face. He always comes out so enthused and bursting with joy, excited to tell me about his latest creation or achievement. On arrival each teacher is ready and waiting to welcome us with enthusiasm and excitement. They treat each child with care and respect and are just as enthusiastic about sharing the childrens achievements as the children themselves. I have always felt welcome and am more than happy I chose this nursery, I now have a confident, happy, independent 4 year old ready to start school.

We have had an absolutely fabulous time at forest school for the second course; just as we did first time round. The children love the setting and the staff are very caring and focused. We particularly enjoyed the dinosaur hunts, camp fire cooking and songs, muddy play, painting, den building and general free flow play. Not only would we whole heartedly recommend Glendon for anyone looking for a child-led nature based care setting and/or parent and child class; we love it so much we will sign up for any classes we can attend again.
