They were very friendly and taught me a lot about the being Jewish and also about their culture!

Just came across this little synagogue directly opposite the huge and showy Roman Catholic Church. Plain, austere and unobtrusive. Bravo Norwich for having a synagogue and a mosque.

A bit surreal - for a number of reasons. Firstly just opp. the St John Cathedral. Secondly not sure where the actual praying goes on. Thirdly it's an orthodox synagogue which basically caters for the non religious Jews of Norwich. Outside's decor is slightly clumsy. Still, you can pray there if you feel thus inclined. I doubt God takes notice of these things!
