Had a lovely stay in the B&B at the Grainary. The room was comfortable and had the facilities needed for our time at the farm. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and cooked food was made to order, so was as requested and fresh. The views were beautiful and local walks were lovely and peaceful. The farm animals were friendly, particularly Lolly the dog. Hopefully we’ll be back soon as we have some more exploring to do if Scarborough and the surrounding area.

I booked the Grainary Farm as a weekend break for 2 adults and 2 kids. The plan was to use it as a base for visiting Whitby and Scarborough, which it is very handily placed to do so. It was late when we arrived but the welcome was warm and friendly. As expected from a working farm the accommodation is rustic but relatively well maintained. The views and surrounding areas are stunning and we spent a lot more time just walking around the farm than we planned. We had a beautiful lady escorting us on our morning walk (Lolly the farm dog) she showed us the paths around the site and loved having a tennis ball thrown for her. She even started waiting for us by the door when we walked out!! The breakfasts are far better than expected as the selections were vast as well as the portions., and great local produce used. This is one of the few places where all the family agreed we would (and will) come back to. The staff are friendly, the location is perfect, the food is fantastic the animals are captivating. What is there not to like. My only downside is the water tank / central heating? by room 9 is a bit loud whilst it's running but it goes off before its too late to get a good nights sleep.

We have just got back from a night away with our 2 children and we loved it that much we have already booked to go back! Amazing views, food was great, lots of animals and the farmer even came out with bottles and we fed the baby lambs! The kids adored the dog that lives there and the park is great for them. Brilliant stay, can’t wait to return!
