Loved it!!! Amazing place! My idea of heaven...wildlife and fossils in one place Very steep path down to the beach and precarious hike back up when it rained but oh so worth it! Found fossils galore in the rain! And saw 100s of seals basking on the rocks in the 🌞 sun.... Will definitely return...an absolute favourite of mine now!

Beautiful views of the sea and Robin Hood Bay! And largely unspoilt. Well laid out paths with benches placed at just the right spot for a rest on the steep homeward climb - ostensibly to look at the view!Seals. Not too busy on the July Sunday we visited, good social distancing and ice cream treats at the end.Only challenge was the toilets closed at 3. A little early on a summer evening after a few hours on the beach - with no other amenities (at level that we could find.)

On holiday in Whitby currently. Trying to park anywhere in public car parks from Whitby down to Bridlington is an absolute nightmare. Plus the parking fees, if you do manage to get a space, are ridiculously expensive. We have tried to get to Robin Hoods Bay twice over 2 days, no chance of parking so doubt we will get to see this place which is a shame. Goes for many other popular places......

Beautiful Ravenscar could sit for hours looking at the view lovely cafe here to refresh yourself after a beautiful walk along the disused railway track which goes to whitby if your feeling fit!! 🏃‍♀️
