I would not hesitate to recommend Goolds. My Dad died early October and to be honest, we had not idea what happened next. They handled us with extreme sensitivity and nothing was too much trouble. On the day of the funeral itself, they were very respectful and everything went smoothly. They made a difficult time, much easier. Heartfelt thanks.
I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to for this wonderful firm.
Apparently people don't tend to "audition" funeral directors, but I did, and Goold's came out head and shoulders above the rest.
At one firm, I was repeatedly pitied for being such a young widow; at another, I was clumsily greeted with a price list.
At Goold's, I was greeted by Roy. He was smartly dressed, welcoming, and understanding. He gave me brochures and a price list, so I could discuss this when I was ready.
Over the following days, I communicated with Roy and Debbie. It was always nice to speak to them, and nothing was too much trouble. Debbie really listened, and took action.
At the funeral itself, the firm demonstrated absolute competency. We always felt like we were in good hands.
To everyone at Goold's, thank you so very much.

I can honestly say that Mandy, Geoff and Staff, made one of the saddest days so much easier.
The love care and attention mentioned so much to all of us. They took care of everything, talked us threw what we needed to do.
But also after the funeral still offered us support and an understanding.
