Hallcroft Fishery & Caravan Park

Was going to stay on site for 6 months for a work contract staying in the caravan through the week, paid £1600 up front, no confirmation slip though as the only place to see anyone is the lad in the tackle shop. Site was behind a tip and stunk, The caravan was booked onto a pitch that did not exist, the roads smashed the bottom of the car, and I had to get the guy delivering the caravan to move it from one end of the site to the other, literally. Eventually put on a hardstanding but no water tap as promised, I have the booking confirmation slips to prove it. The site is only interested in fishermen for easy money. Anyway, the agreement was the owner was going to move me to another site he was buying but he refused too answer calls when I queried the date of the move. Found out he was not getting the new site so I moved the caravan and went elsewhere after 15 days, I asked for money back minus 15 days and got told to email. This is when fun started, got told eventually I could have £800 back, it's cost me £800 to stay for 15 days, when I got quoted the contract I was sent, they even got that bit wrong. This site is terrible, they rip you off and do not care about you, your caravan or your welfare! Be aware. This is written as a truth not just anger, I am warning you in advance, especially workmen looking for somewhere to stay. How dare they rip off a hard working person!

Beauty of a place. Me and two of the lads went yesterday for the day ticket, great set up, beaut surroundings and absolutely bagged up on the reed lake, 40+ fish between the 3 of us biggest carp 22lbs+ What a day will deffo be back.!!

Nice location - staff very helpful and potentially a lovely site. It is totally let down by toilets that are cleaned twice a week! Campers must take some responsibility for the mess but the problem needs addressing with some urgency. The owner is aware of the problem and spoke with us at some length taking on board comments that we made.
