Consistenly over the years I spent in Mansfield.
Well done.
Now open but with limited hours. Well organised entry and exit. No access to the children's play things. But all book shelves as full as normal.
Great facility. However, I have an issue with the enforcement of quiet areas. They have dedicated contracted security staff who walk round and do absolutely nothing to people talking loudly, swearing, playing music out of their phones without headphones. This is in areas where it specifically says quiet area. Instead they choose to have a chat with them and add to the noise. I use the library to write assignments for university so I can work uninterrupted but I think I will try wether-spoons for some peace and quiet.
Always a wonderful place for children. The events are terrific, and it is set up beautifully in a way that children can enjoy it without disturbing other library users!
