First and Last time I'll use Halfords Autocentre. Took my car in for an MOT. It took 2 hours, and it was failed for rear brakes(far enough), and a 1x Top Strut Mount. They gave me a quote of 177 quid for the Top Strut Mount. Outrageous.
I purchased a new set of drums and shoes for the rear brakes(both sides), and 2 new top strut mounts. All-in-all, for parts and labour 160 at my local mechanics. Best part is, the local mechanic didn't see any issue with the Top Strut Mount he removed. He said it was fine and there was lots of life left.
This place doesn't operate efficiently, questionable vehicle faults, and outrageous prices for minimal labour.

Staff could not have been more efficient, helpful and courteous. Work was completed in time scales. Easy to book online.
Will use again
Totally delightful experience from start to finish by the staff at the Arnold branch. Work carried out as agreed major service and Mot Any additional work I was advised of and informed if it needed to been done ASAP or to be checked in a few months time. I would highly recommend and will be using again for the second car service.
Quick service (sameday) on a power steering pump replacement. Recommended
