Amazing food and the service was just amazing. Highly recommend to anyone as was stunning venue and food to go with it. The staff made the experience even better.

Amazing architecture that is really striking as you drive up through classical British parkland to the gravel parking immediately in front of the building. We just went for evening drinks with friends who were staying there... but it was still a very restful and elegant experience great service and attention to detail by the staff. Even gave me the choice of cold or room temperature Sussex bitter (room temp, of course)

The hotel was beautiful, lovely rooms and decor and there was a live harpist playing carols which made it feel Christmassy. I’m not sure if we came on an off-afternoon for afternoon tea but the staff were not very attentive, it felt like we were forgot about. Every time we needed something like more tea, plates etc., we had to ask which was annoying as we had to wait to get the servers attention. We also got our food after nearly 40 minutes and hadn’t even received any tea or coffee at that point. Food was nice but only a few sandwiches and loads of cake, felt there could have been a better sweet/savoury balance. Overall the setting and ambience was beautiful but the service could have been better.

Nice meal in pleasant surroundings. Incorrectly charged for food and wine. This was quickly corrected but it did tarnish an otherwise enjoyable afternoon.

Fantastic food and wine, extremely professional staff always making you feel welcome and lovely building, what is there to fault? A small lift perhaps, you can see how difficult it is for me to fault. I felt sorry for the staff fidgeting with their masks I would have preferred social distancing to being in hospital, but they have older guests to think about. I found it particularly irksome staff were allowed to bring you glasses of wine but not pour from your bottle. But this practise is not isolated in these times of government scaremongering, so I can hardly blame the hotel.
