Worst company I have dealt with in 36 years , roger is a horrible man to deal with, my mums stairlift broke down and he tried to sell us another stairlift saying it was broke and unfixable which was a complete lie !!! We later found out when we got another local company to fix it as we didn't believe him, as our stairlift it was only two years old so surely it couldn't be broke already !! In the end all it needed was a set of new batteries which is a common thing with Stairlifts every two years as they run on batteries. Please Stay clear of this company as its clearly something they always do looking at there reviews, I wish we looked at the reviews first time but lesson learnt !!!!

Couldn't fault the fitter( Acorn) - helpful, professional & very understanding -but terrible and unprofessional service from Roger at Liftec who was over familiar and totally unprofessional. Roger agreed to purchase the existing stairlift & would try to remove the old one & have the new one fitted the same day so that my vulnerable mother In law would not be confined to one floor for an extended period. This did not happen!! Despite it only taking 40 minutes to remove the old stair lift, it was removed at 2pm the day before the new one was fitted meaning at 86 & disabled she was confined upstairs with no access to the kitchen or living room. Rogers excuse, he couldn't say when the new lift company would arrive as it could be anything from 7.30am to 11am due to 'traffic'. In reality the Acorn engineer arrived at 8.30am with specific instructions not to start until 9am as the old lift would be removed that morning!! He was obviously surprised to find the old lift was removed the day before & said he could have removed it if necessary!. Roger would never commit to a precise time for appointments, having at least a two hour slot each time and even though he had a mobile, he wouldn't call to confirm he was on his way. Would advise anyone thinking of using this company - DO NOT! All these reviews cannot be wrong! Would definitely not deal with this company again as they are completely unprofessional & will deal direct with Acorn who were great!!

This man attended my mother in laws property to fix her stair lift. He’s a nasty slimy piece of work...... tried to con her into a new lift, saying it was unsafe..... then fixed the lift within seconds whilst her back was turned....... Told her it was a magic trick....... broke it again. He is a bully and a cheat. Do not trust him in your house.

If I could post ZERO stars I would! Do not deal with this man ! He was rude and unprofessional toward my Mum when he realised a repair was all that was necessary and he wasn’t going to get a sale of a full stairlift! He very forcefully insisted that the existing stairlift was old and dangerous despite it only needing a simple repair that he actually CARRIED OUT, saying it was his ‘Magic Trick’ … honestly this behavior is beyond comprehensible, he then told my Mum he’d purposefully broken it again because what he had done was apparently Illegal. Does this scum bag not realise his customers might have FAMILY that are LIVID they dared treat their family members in this way! Avoid this slimy, aggressive, sneaky con man at ALL COSTS!

Conman Dodgy Roger owner liftec Carlton do not deal or trust this man. My grandad was 90 and was con’d by this awful man. My Grandad purchased a Brooks stairlift from the owner Roger about two years ago, before my grandad proceeded to buy, Roger the owner offered to buy back the stairlift for at least half the value when/if it’s no longer needed, for around half the purchase value, purchase price £1250 The stairlift is no longer needed Dodgy Rogers offer was £50 but only if it’s in tip top condition, Roger also mentioned my grandad didn’t have it serviced which I informed him it was done 11months ago by yourself at the cost of £85 which amazed us all as all he did was spray furniture polish on the sliding rail.
