If you like to get out in nature and see wildlife, this is the place for you! It has: a huge pond full of aquatic life, streams running to and from the pond, huge hills great for hiking, scenic trails for walking, running or cycling and much more! I would highly recommend you visit here if you're a resident or a tourist - it's worth every second you spend there

Lovely place for a walk, we picked blackberries so only walked for a short while. We had cake and a coffee at the cafe. It was late in the afternoon and the cakes were dry and probably would have been better earlier in the day. It didn't ruin the day as the weather was lovely and the kids enjoyed their ice creams. Definitely recommend for a visit

I highly recommend Vicar Water Country Park, it’s a fantastic place to take a walk, to have a picnic and to walk your dog. There is a parking charge but it’s voluntary. It’s quite serene and it’s quite huge. The terrain varies a lot so I would wear comfortable walking shoes. There’s also a little cafe that looks lovely. Also, Beautiful views of the whole of Clipstone when you get to the top. Anyway, please look at the pictures.

Ample parking for a voluntary contribution. Good children's play area will plenty of grassy area for a picnic. Cafe is serving out of the door due to Covid but friendly staff and well organised. The country park has some nice walks, e.g. a shorter one suitable for wheelchairs/pushchairs and then a longer one which they advise takes 2 hours. There is a map leaflet available with the walks on. Toilets onsite too. Lovely place to visit for the afternoon/day.
