Very courteous people. Answer all questions very patiently. I would definitely recommend this MOT test centre for everyone. Minor inconvenience is a long waiting list, but that's to be expected at the really good centres.

Really loyal to this garage, always friendly and flexible service. Unfortunately over time I noticed some drawbacks - not pointing out a battery shouldn't be weak after 6 months and missing a failing alternator which blew up my turbo. Replacing the turbo, then identifying the alternator problem and replacing that, but not reconnecting oil properly. Oil flows out of the car during a long journey, creating another trip to the garage. Worst of all, twice in a row my in-car charger disappeared while at the garage. I love to support local businesses, and have no ill feeling towards the owner but have had to go elsewhere as I completely lost confidence in them after three big breakdowns that could have been avoided.

First impression: Nice little family business, nothing should go wrong. I left the car with them for a very affordable pre-MOT check. I parked the car at awkward angle, not deliberately but being perfectionist I took a good notice of it. On return at agreed time I hsvd returned to find out my car did not move-perhaps they didn't manage to fit me in yet, I thought. To my surprise the it was reported the car is fine apart from a handbreak squeeking but nothing to fail MOT. I asked for a bill with areas checked listed on it and they said they have to check one more thing. My car finally moved and was jacked up, two young guys - early 20'- briefly kicked the tyres, moving the wheels with hands and finding rear break sticking - I knew that as I worked on the breaks by myself before and hoped for a professional opinion. This was then reported as another minor issue which should not affect MOT. I was charged £36 and ended up with lot more issues on MOT certificate following week. MOT done by independent council MOT centre. Problems included loose suspension struts, rusted exhaust system, rusted break pipes... I paid £36 for a piece of paper and wasted time.
