The Varsity Shop

NOT ONLY SLOPPY, BUT ALSO DISHONEST!!! I bought 2 T-shirts with tracked shipping at THE VARSITY SHOP - OXFORD online shop on the 7th of July, the website said it’d take me 10-14 working days to receive the items. Some minutes later the purchase was confirmed and on July 8 an email said my order was complete. Five days later, not having received the tracking number, I emailed the shop asking for it. Laura Greenaway answered the next day that order was shipped on the 8th July and that it would take 10-14 working days to arrive, but didn’t even mention the tracking number. I asked for it again the same day and got no answer. After 3 more days (17 July), I emailed the shop again and the Sage pay support asking for the tracking number or a refund of the difference on the shipping fees. Sage pay employee (Darren Smith) gave me a laconic answer and washed his hands saying they have nothing to do with the transaction (even though the site said something like “purchase assured by Sage pay”) and Laura answered saying the package was shipped on the 8th of July… Didn’t mention the tracking number again! After 4 days (July 21) Laura emailed me answering that the tracking number had been “mislaid” by their office and that by the end of that week I would receive the T-shirts. Didn’t talked about refunding the fee difference, they just pocketed it. And… surprise! I didn’t receive the T-shirts. I sent her another email on July 27 and she answered me to wait until the end of the week (once more) and email her if I didn’t receive the T-shirts. And now here we are: the end of the week with nothing received! I sent her another email this morning and haven’t received any answer so far… I’ve already shopped from more than 10 different countries around the world, maybe more than 50 times and have never had any problem. If I put together all bad experiences I’ve had from every single transaction I’ve done that didn’t go perfectly, I wouldn’t be half as bored as I am with this matter. In sum, I WISH ALL MY BITTER ENEMIES A TRANSACTION WITH THE VARSITY SHOP - OXFORD/CASTELL AND SON LTD

We got everyone in the family a shirt here! Great prices and had specials for people buying multiple items. Nice staff too!

Rude staff, faulty items. We found out at the cashier that the pen we were getting was broken. The staff said "Don't buy if you think the item is faulty. Simple as that", which we felt super rude. If you are getting Oxford souvenirs, I highly recommend the official store on High street. Don't go to this one.
