Very professional staff in the TV sales Why go anywhere else

Friendly staff, beautiful space layouts, owh and check out the cafe too. The coffee is good.

I was in the store yesterday. I think the customer service is shocking. I was looking for a specific backpack, there was no one in the department, I approached an employee to ask for assistance she pointed at two gentlemen and said I should ask one of them. The gentleman helping me did not know the products and I had to show him on my phone that only John Lewis sold this brand. I then went to the technology department. I needed assistance with a laptop that I was interested in. I approached an employee who told me he was actually on his tea break, he will find me someone. I waited and then eventually approached two employees, who were chatting to one another. I was told that they are busy and I must get a card and then fall in the queue for assistance. I left and they lost a sale. I then went to the cosmetic department, when I arrived there was no one at the Benefit counter. I was told by the two employees at the opposite counter that the lady was on tea and that they could not help me as they do not know the product. My suggestions would be 1. Train the staff in the departments to know their products 2. If you are on tea breaks do not walk around on the floor 3. Teach employees that customers are more important than idle chat to one another. 4. Multi skill your staff. Teach them more than one product, so when they go on tea they can cover up for one another. John Lewis missed out on 3 sales from me due to poor customer service.

Amazing staff! I was looking for a couple items which I could not find and one of the staff (Alex) helped me immediately and was very nice. Products are also very good and range in prices
