Ollie is an absolute professional! I had a good feeling about Ollie, based on the email communication that I had with him prior to the course, and he didn't disappoint in person.
It was obvious to me, early on the first day, that Ollie had taken the time to work out the style of instruction that best suited my character and was genuinely focused on helping me to meet my aims. Ollie’s communication style, level of knowledge and skill in a canoe, along side his humble character, make him a great instructor and I look forward to booking with him again, once I’ve practiced and consolidated the techniques that he so patiently passed on to me this week.
I’ve just spent two joyous days with Ollie learning the basics of kayaking and canoeing.
Ollie is a professional, highly skilled, intuitive and kind teacher. I learned a huge amount and made plenty of mistakes along the way, Ollie never left me feeling that I did anything wrong but instead enabled me to see how to improve my technique. His knowledge and passion of this craft is vast, this shows very much in his teaching. I would recommend Ollie at Sandeman Canoe Company to anyone whether a beginner or experienced boater. Ollie is the canoe instructor I would aspire to be. His knowledge of the local areas, canoe equipment were only surpassed by his expertise in the canoe itself. Amazing value for money, Ollie remained patient and enthusiastic. I would recommend to anyone wishing to improve their skillset/ fun day on the river. Thanks for a great day, we will be back!!
