In the short time I have been learning with Paul, I have progressed far beyond what I was thought possible with the drums. His lessons are bespoke to the student’s skills and ability and are taught in an enjoyable and relaxed learning environment. The studio is well equipped with everything someone would want to learn, and I felt I was able to progress with my own personal choices in pieces with minimal hurdles. I can highly recommend Paul as a teacher, whether you are just starting out or wish to develop your music to a professional level. If you are going to choose a drum teacher, then Paul is the one to go for in Nottingham!

Paul is a fantastic educator and drummer. Lessons with him are always fun and laid back but full of knowledge and useful tips. In the past few years he has helped me pass grade 8 with flying colours and begin both a performance and teaching diploma to further enhance my own career. Strongly recommend any serious drummers study with Paul. His depth of knowledge is outstanding!

Five years ago I was looking for a drum teacher to help me progress with my playing. What I didn’t expect after finding Paul was the passion and talent he passed on to me. Paul’s approach to learning the drum kit transformed the way I thought about music in general. Not only the feel of my playing, but the way I phrased sections of it. Ultimately encouraging me to be more musical. Over the past five years Paul has become a true friend, we now share many musical situations. Last year I embarked on my first ever clinic tour with Paul and I was truly honored to share a stage with such greatness. Although he treats me as an equal, I am forever learning whilst in his presence. A few years back Paul released Drum Set For Beginners. This book is a must for any drum teacher. Paul has taught me how to use this book and because of this, I am a better teacher. My teaching practice now consists of over 45 private students per week including daytime teaching in schools. The combination of this book and the excellent teaching method Paul provides within the pages is the reason for my success. For any drummer, passion and the belief of success is key. I've been taught by Paul for the last 4 years, and have enjoyed every second of it... His knowledge is second to none, and undoubtedly I'll be with him another 4 years.. His depth of knowledge is such that I know I'll only be touching the sides in that 4 years! I can't recommend him enough, without a doubt he is the British answer to the likes of Gadd, Lang and crew! Worthy praise indeed.

Paul Hose is a fantastic, skilled and wise musician, and an extraordinary educator. He has the ability to teach you anything you'd like to learn. He has improved my technical ability vastly and can broaden and improve anybody's playing. His teaching methods are without fault. Plus he's a top bloke, a great friend and a very funny man!
