I visited along with fellow members of my U3A History group. I enjoyed the presentation, which was interesting, informative and amusing. I bought some unusual Wales-themed items in the gift shop. We all agreed that it was a very nice place to visit.

The best coracle museum I have ever been to. In wales.

Great source of information about the Coracle fishermen and a lot of lovely old nostalgic photographs depicting a way of life which has almost completely vanished. There are many wonderful examples of this type of craft from all over the world here, an added bonus is that you can walk across the bridge and along the river bank. A good value way to spend a few hours!

July 2019 We first went to the "National Coracle Centre " (in Cenarth) .So named I'm not sure because it's only one small room but to be fair it is filled with lots of relatively interesting information about coracles and has approx 10 coracles from the UK and around the world. However ,a lot of the displays need updating to a fresh modern font though..my opinion. It costs £3 50 to enter the museum and to see the mill .One can't just do the museum on it's own but mill on it's own is £1 50 . However the mill is such a Major MAJOR disappointment .Previously when I was on the river bank opposite the Mill ..(as in a lot of old photos) ...I looked over to the mill and thought ...I cant wait to go there and to take some nice photos of the famous falls from there. But OMG I've never seen such a poor state of repair. Its a derelict dilapidated state of affairs .It appears nobody has done any work to keep it from faĺing into disrepair for years .WHAT A CRYING SHAME .OK the mill is still standing but the interior is just ..well just as it was years ago. Again the displays could do with freshening up big time... at least if you're not going to do anything else .The outside was SUCH a disappointment. You can't see the famous bridge ..just a glimpse... for overgrown shrubbery . You can't see the falls bar a glimpse either. WHY not cut it back so you can appreciate the views ? Who's looking after this place ? Then comes the Mill Pond . OMG another disappointment. No water in the pond but the view before you see this was just so cheap and nasty looking .I was APPALLED. If an effort was made, the surroundings could look so much nicer so you'd want to sit and stay and enjoy the sights ie the falls (The main reason surely) .The mill is going to disintegrate at some point but not just yet but wouldn't you want to preserve it so it doesn't actually do that ? The wheel is going to go first that's for sure. You read about the history of the famous Cenarth falls and the Mill but it looks like nobody actually cares and that would be a shame for all those that went before who looked after and cared about it and when it got handed to us it went to ruin ...
