Handy place for a stop on the way to Cornwall on the A303, toilets are acceptable (single queue for them the day we stopped there, think the social distancing notice might have caused this). Usual choice of fast foods, but no real complaints on what was there.
The service area at Podimore, like many others on the A303 has significantly declined over the last 20 years. The Little Chef which sold good quality meals has long since gone, replaced by a scruffy building which includes Burger King, Subway and Greggs which sell food that adds to the nation's obesity problem! Its not even possible to get a good cup of coffee here. Instead may I recommend the Cartgate Lodge Cafe, situated at the next roundoubout to the south west on the A303 at the junction with the A3088.
Regularly use for LPG fuel, only think to watch for is potholes on the exit way, and restricted view on the main exit to road. Otherwise staff are friendly and helpful and the store is clean and well stocked.
Handy little stop. There's a Gregg's, a Burger King and a Subway plus a shop. Limited but not bad amount of parking space.
Not the best by a long way,
No cover when fuelling LGV, coupled with standard car type pump meaning slow filling.
Also does NOT support Nectar points!!
